These stamps were printed on paper watermarked with Crown CC and line perforated 12.5.  Several pins were broken on the perforating device.

1d lake-rose

The first De La Rue printing of 1d stamps for Antigua was in the lake color. These were invoiced on December 14, 1871 and placed on sale in Antigua early in 1872. The total number of stamps was 65,280  (544 sheets).

A further printing of the 1d in the scarlet shade was invoiced on June 15, 1874. The print quality was generally poor, possibly due to the poor adherence quality of ink composition. The total number of stamps was 63,120 (526 sheets).

6d blue-green 

Three printings of the 6d in blue-green were made by De La Rue & Company between November, 1871 and June, 1874. The color of the stamps from all three printings was uniform and individual stamps cannot be classified to a specific print run. The total number of 6d stamps was 89,760  (748 sheets).
